Glenn Rankin Founder, Director of Sales & Marketing Date joined Incorpore: August 2001
Background: Glenn has been in the health & fitness industry for over 19 years. Starting as a gym instructor after gaining an honours degree in sports science from Brunel University, Glenn worked his way up through various roles including membership manager, centre manager and corporate sales manager until he launched Incorpore in September 2001.
Keeping active: Formerly a rugby player with both Saracens and Bristol, Glenn's senior playing career was cut short by a knee injury. He officially retired from playing rugby in 2012 although still turns out for the local vets side. Glenn often cycles in the 15 miles from home to the office and enjoys both road biking and mountain biking on the nearby south downs. He completed Ironman France 2012 and vowed shortly after crossing the finishing line never to do anything so ridiculous ever again. He is of course now considering another one.
James Shillaker, Founder, Director of Clubs & OperationsDate joined Incorpore: August 2001
Background: James earned his stripes in the world of hotel management, both as a management accountant and latterly as general manager for several of the UK's largest hotel groups. From the outset James has taken responsibility for the recruitment and management of our health club network which grew from zero to over 2,500. In addition James also heads up our GymFlex operations, a rapidly expanding area of the business.
Keeping active: A former rugby full-back of some talent with spells at Harlequins at U21 level and Sussex, James now prefers the more leisurely approach of cricket and can often be found on the picturesque wicket at Ditchling cricket club nestling in the shadow of the south downs.
Richard Holmes B.Ed. Hons DMS M.Med.Sci Head of Wellbeing Date joined Incorpore: November 2013
Background: Richard is responsible for the delivery of all wellbeing services. A former teacher with a Masters Degree in Medical Sciences, Richard has been operating and delivering corporate wellbeing services, across the UK in all industry sectors, since 2000. Prior to this Richard was a Divisional Director for one of the world's leading contract management company's and before that the UK healthcare manager looking after 12,000 employees for a major European brand.
Keeping active: Richard played semi-professional football until injury and a lack of talent finally found him out! Now he gets his kicks from regularly visiting the gym and participating in adventure runs. Richard likes to think he is a reasonable golfer when the stars are correctly aligned; but he isn't and they rarely are!
Emma Graver, Club Network Manager Date joined Incorpore: November 2013
Background: Emma has worked in the world of health and fitness for just over 10 years and brings with her the experience of undertaking a variety of different positions at both Champneys and Fitness First; membership manager, general manager, regional corporate manager and on one not to be repeated occasion 'class instructor!' More recently, Emma worked for ukactive and enjoyed the perspective gained from an organisation who on a national level pursues the long-standing and uncompromising vision to get more people, more active, more often.
Keeping active: All of the time! A new baby daughter, a dog who thinks he is a baby, cycling, running, swimming, half marathons all keep Emma busy. When the heart rate is resting then it's time to hit the books - currently studying sports nutrition.
Danielle Shillaker, Key Account ManagerDate joined Incorpore: September 2007
Background: Danielle started out working in Hotel Management and training. She initially joined the Incorpore team on a part time basis assisting the Network Manager and helping recruit clubs onto the network. In 2008 Danielle moved over to a dedicated account management role and has never looked back. As a Key Account Manager she is responsible for bringing new clients on board, managing some of our partner relationships and ensuring each and every customers expectations are exceeded.
Keeping active: Looking after 2 very sporty children keeps Danielle active. If she is not standing on the sideline of a football pitch, she can be found waiting for her daughter to finish a triathlon. Danielle does visit the gym 2-3 times a week to swim or participate in a class and is just about to take up yoga.
Rachel Barber, Key Account Manager Date joined Incorpore: April 2013
Background: Rachel started her career in the leisure industry as a lifeguard, a sensible job for an avid swimmer, but more importantly the flexible hours allowed her to concentrate on her Pschology and Criminology Degree. She later moved to Topnotch Health Clubs and worked in a variety of roles during her 7 years there. Starting as a receptionist and ending as the Assistant Business Manager at the City of London Club whilst also teaching both swimming and spin classes to members. After working with some of the largest corporate firms in the City, Rachel believes that everyone can be active, especially when the company ethos is right.
Keeping active: Not quite as active as she used to be, but then she's no longer in training for County swimming competitions. However any opportunity to dive into the swimming pool will always be taken! Rachel keeps saying that she would like to participate in a Triathlon but has not actually committed to signing up yet!
